This year's Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month Kickoff will start with an informational fair featuring student organizations and departments from 3-4 p.m.
At 4 p.m., a set program will begin where the campus community can learn about this month's theme and events, enjoy cultural performances and have an opportunity to engage with each other. During the program, the AANHPI Heritage Month planning committee will also bring attention to the items featured in the Intercultural Collective's display case, including pieces that remember the Denny's incident that occurred in Syracuse in 1997, a display by the Disability Cultural Center honoring Alice Wong (disability activist, author and advocate) and artwork that is significant to our heritage and this month's theme.
Following the set program, the informational fair will resume, cultural foods will be served and a musical jazz group will set the atmosphere and help us kick off this celebration month!
All are welcome.
