Community Art as Environmental Activism

Partnering with the Environmental Storytelling Series of Central New York, Alutiiq artist Linda Infante Lyons talks with Tanisha Jackson (African American Studies and Executive Director of the Community Folk Art Center) about how art and storytelling illuminate the relationships between people, land, and memory, emphasizing the role of Black and Indigenous women in environmental resilience and cultural healing.

Participants are encouraged to engage in conversation and collective action across—and beyond—communities in Syracuse, Central New York, and Alaska through creative expression.
