Dissertation Defense: Ananda Collins

The oral doctoral examination of Ananda Collins, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Monday, March 30, at 9 a.m. via Zoom.

Collins’s advisors are Professor Shana Gadarian and Jenn Jackson. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professor Emily Thorson. Professor Srivi Ramasubramanian will serve as chair of the defense.The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Talking From the Soul: Exploring the Impact of African American Vernacular English (AAVE) in Digital News on Black Youth Political Behavior.”
