Dissertation Defense: Ava Breitbeck

The oral doctoral examination of Ava Breitbeck, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at 11 a.m. in Lyman Hall, room 132 and via Zoom.

Breitbeck’s advisor is Professor John Tillotson. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Qiu Wang, and David Perez. Professor Jason Wiles will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Exploring Scientific Altruism: How Undergraduate Students Use Science to Serve Communities and Change the World.”
