Dissertation Defense: Jiangyu Yu

The oral doctoral examination of Jiangyu Yu, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at 10:30 am in Carnegie 120.

Yu’s advisor is Professor Lixin Shen. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Shukai Du, Justin Ko, and Adam Lutoborski. Professor Qinru Qiu will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Geometry of Nonconvex $\ell_{p}$-Lasso Optimization.”
