Dissertation Defense: Jiayang Liu

The oral doctoral examination of Jiayang Liu, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, June 12, at 1 p.m. in the Center for Science and Technology, room  4-206 K.

Liu’s advisor is Professor Qinru Qiu. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Garrett Katz, and Sucheta Soundarajan. Professor Lixin Shen will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Bio-Inspired Visual Intelligence: Improving Efficiency and Robustness through Foveal-Peripheral Sampling and Learned Saccades.”
