The oral doctoral examination of Matthew Todd, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 3 p.m. in the Physics Building, Room 202.
Todd’s advisor is Professor Stefan Ballmer. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Georgia Mansell, Craig Cahillane and Marina Artuso. Professor Joshua Russell will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “THERMAL ABERRATIONS AND OPTICAL DESIGN FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE GRAVITATIONAL WAVE DETECTORS.”
