Dissertation Defense: Murat Abus

The oral doctoral examination of Murat Abus, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 at 11:00am in the Institute of Democracy, Journalism and Citizenship in D.C. (Room 939) and via Zoom.

Abus’s advisor is Professor Johanna Dunaway. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Emily Thorson and Joshua Darr. Professor Emily Sydnor will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Papers on American Elections.”
