Dissertation Defense: Nikkia Borowski

The oral doctoral examination of Nikkia Borowski, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, July 8, at 9  a.m. in 220 Huntington Hall and via Zoom.

Borowski’s advisor is Professor Christine Ashby. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Sultan Kilinc Yildirim, and Julia White. Professor George Theoharis will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Troubling Languagelessness: Access, Agency, and the Construction of Communication for a Nonspeaking Emergent Bilingual Student.”
