Dissertation Defense: Odlanyer Hernandez De Lara

The oral doctoral examination of Odlanyer Hernandez De Lara, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, June 5, at 10 a.m. via Zoom.

Hernandez De Lara’s advisor is Professor Theresa Singleton. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Christopher Decorse, Guido Pezzarossi, Timur Hammond, and Alfredo Gonzalez-Ruibal. Professor Peng Gao will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Violence, Destruction, and Memory: An Archaeological Approach to State Terrorism in Dictatorial Cuba (1952-1958).”
