Effective and Equitable Assessment: How to Foster Learning and Engagement with Diverse Assessment Strategies

Dr. Janine Nieroda is a teaching professor in the School of Education specializing in college learning strategies and teaching methodology. In conjunction with the TA Program, she is hosting a set of three workshops focused on various ways that TAs/instructors’ teaching practices can help their students succeed. These workshops function well as a series or as standalone sessions. In this workshop she will share a variety of learning strategies that can be used in your instruction to amplify student engagement and increase your effectiveness in assessment.  Dr. Nieroda will focus on methods of gathering a variety of data sources from students to inform your instruction and enhance your pedagogical goals for student engagement and assessment.
