Embracing Your Challenges: A Conversation and Workshop With New York State Youth Poet Laureate OlaRose Ndubuisi '29

Join us for a presentation, poetry reading, and writing and art workshop by 2024-25 New York State Youth Poet Laureate OlaRose Ndubuisi '29.

Disability looks different for everyone. OlaRose will discuss how she has navigated her experience as a student with disabilities, including being born a one-pound premature infant, having unilateral hearing loss and being diagnosed with severe scoliosis.

After reading a poem about her scoliosis journey, OlaRose will show how we all can use creative outlets to positively express our emotions and face our own invisible challenges by leading a fun writing and art workshop. All are welcome.
