Clear and effective presentation of scientific data is essential for scientific communication. Time is always a limited resource so having a set of figures and/or academic posters that clearly communicate the research is critical to allow colleagues to quickly grasp the importance of the work, and to avoid misinterpretation of the data. This workshop will provide best practices guidelines on how the “figures tell the story”, followed by activities and discussion of figure design, poster design, and storyboarding. This session will be facilitated by Dr. Jessica MacDonald, Associate Professor Neuroscience; and Dr. Jen Schwarz, Professor of Physics.
