Haudenosaunee Welcome Gathering

A traditional Haudenosaunee gathering held whenever visitors come into our territories. We welcome all incoming students, staff and faculty of Syracuse University into our ancestorial Haudenosaunee homelands. We come together to show our display of support, happiness and well wishes for a safe, nourishing and enriching new school year. We will share our best words as well as traditional strawberry drink and hot scones. We will then close our gathering with a round dance to kick off our commitment to unity, friendship and peace.
