ODI Lunch and Learn: Embedding Inclusivity into Administrative Work: Event Planning

This Lunch and Learn session will highlight best practices and resources for inclusive event planning at Syracuse University. Participants will engage through sharing their own experiences and learning from one another. The intended learning outcome is for participants to feel better equipped and prepared to plan a fully accessible and inclusive event for campus members.

Presenter: Rachel Scalisi, Executive Assistant, Office of Diversity and Inclusion

Rachel Scalisi joined the Office of Diversity and Inclusion as the executive assistant in 2022. In this role, she specifically supports the vice president and assistant vice president for diversity and inclusion, and provides broad administrative and logistical support to ODI and its team. Prior to joining Syracuse University, Scalisi worked in hiring and recruitment at a local security company. Scalisi holds a bachelor's and master's degree in international relations from SU's Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.
