Join us for two weeks of committed writing ... a Draft Dash!

Need to get over the hump on an external grant proposal? Stuck on a book chapter? An R&R or two for journal articles sitting on your desk?

Register now to participate in a two-week writing challenge in community with colleagues from across the university. Each weekday at 9:30 am, we will come together on Zoom for a quick check-in and 30 minutes of committed writing time (one pomodoro! IYKYK). Alternatively, do this each day on your own schedule. Each day, participants are entered into a drawing for some cool writing-related swag, and the more check-ins, the more chances to win! If you attend or independently check in for all ten sessions, you will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing for a $500 prize towards an external review, writing consultation (ask us more), or a contribution to your research account.

The Draft Dash is generously supported by the Office of Research Development and the Syracuse University Humanities Center.

Full time faculty of all ranks are eligible to participate. Tenure-stream faculty will be prioritized for the grand prize.

You are also invited to join us from 1:30 to 2:30 pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Mower Faculty Commons, 548A-B Bird Library, to meet your fellow writers and celebrate your success (with cupcakes)!
