Red Flag Campaign

The Red Flag Campaign is making its debut on the Syracuse University campus!

The Red Flag Campaign seeks to change social norms by using a bystander intervention strategy. The campaign empowers friends and peers to speak up when they see “red flags” that might indicate an abusive relationship by providing specific examples of how to intervene.

During the month of October, the campaign will come to life across campus in several ways. Posters and digital signage will circulate throughout buildings and common areas. Red flags will line the grassy knoll leading up to the Hall of Languages, which will be lit up in red during the first few days of the month. Social media posts will help spread the campaign's message online, and pop-up Health Hubs will give Health Promotion Peer Leaders a chance to facilitate educational activities and connect directly with students.
