Tough Topic Tuesday: More Than Bodies - Understanding Gender-Affirming Care

Gender-affirming care goes far beyond hormones and surgeries; it includes mental health support, access to clothing and grooming tools, affirming environments and the freedom to express one’s identity without fear. This workshop invites participants into a deeper conversation about what gender-affirming care actually looks like, why it matters and the misinformation that often surrounds it.

Participants will explore the many ways gender-affirming care supports well-being, especially for trans and nonbinary individuals, and how similar forms of care exist across all genders. We will unpack the impact of body image, policy debates, access barriers and the role allies can play in supporting inclusive and affirming spaces.
